dorkypantsr.us is a non-commercial personal domain. There are no “accounts” in it other than my own. I do NOT send unsolicited email, shady sales pitches, viruses, or the like.
Spammers make up email addresses all the time, misappropriating the domain names of others in a deliberate attempt to make it difficult, if not impossible, for recipients to trace back the real sender in order to lodge complaints. And on top of that, they shift blame onto innocent parties whose identities they’ve hijacked.
If you’ve gotten spam which purports to come from dorkypantsr.us, please have someone knowledgeable in reading HTML code examine the body of the message for links you’re invited to click on. The internet addresses or domains that these links point to are the real perpetrators of the spams. Invariably they are in some small Eastern European country, Africa or China and otherwise impossible to pinpoint further.
Viruses? I don’t even use a Windows PC, nor any of the MS-Office suite or Adobe PDF applications through which nefarious parties like to propagate malware. The adware/spyware/trojan/virus/worm creators aren’t interested in targeting the low-market-share system I use.
